Position Summary:

As a Quality / Automation Test Engineer you are able to demonstrate your automation skills within a large transformative Customer Information System (CIS) project. The Quality / Automation Test Engineer will help build and drive efficiencies into the customer information system using the latest tools in a fast-paced and highly complex environment. You will help with the overall planning, design, development, implementation and execution of Systems Integration Testing (SIT) and End-To-End (E2E) testing phases as defined by the project.

Required Level of Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science with concentration in object oriented programming; Java preferred



Skills:

• Perform requirements analysis and quality risk analysis

• Conditioning manual test cases to be suitable for automation

• Be proficient in at least two test automation tools

• Have demonstrable intermediate skills in Java or C#

• Support creation of Test Strategies & Test Plans

• Develop and maintain test cases, automated scripts, and traceability matrices

• Facilitate the identification and preparation of test data

• Ensure quality processes are followed

• Execute system and integration test scripts

• Detect, log, and retest defects

• Participate and contribute to the Lessons Learned Sessions

• Participate in knowledge transition activities

• Communicate progress of testing activities to the team/test lead or directly to client

• Produce “client" and “internal" status reports

• Maintain a solid understanding of software testing best practices, methodologies, and terminologies

• Coach and mentor other members



Required Experience:

• Practical hands on automation test experience

• Solid grasp of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

• Experience developing automated testing for web-based GUI testing, REST API testing, and/or performance and load testing

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with Client Stakeholders, Senior Management, and/or technology partners

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Positive attitude

• Ability to build consensus and resolve interpersonal challenges

• Ability to provide information and ideas in a clear, comprehensive, concise and organized manner

• Experience working with industry standard test management tools (ex. JIRA, Micro Focus ALM, etc.)

• Experience working with CI tools (ex. Jenkins)



Nice to Have:

• ISTQB Certified Foundation Level (and/or other industry recognized testing certifications)
